The CIRCADIAN® Companies first published their Joomla website in 2012, a competently built production that had grown in ten years into a sprawling site with a high volume of information. The developers long gone and in-house production staff reduced by pandemic attrition, the manager of a new marketing initiative decided the time had come to update the site and to re-focus its analytics, seo, content, and aging APIs. One of the principle challenges of developing a new UI envelope was to re-organize an accrued base of hundreds of links and landing pages into a simpler-to-navigate installation. This included moving some custom software applications, removing rotted links, and leapfrogging several versions of php for enhanced speed and security. This two phase project began in Joomla 3 as a base for migration to version 4, requiring the replacement and reconfiguration of a number of components, plugins, and modules, many of which were no longer functioning properly. The project involves the corporate site, an integrated e-commerce storefront, several custom applications, a couple microsites, comprehensive site management, and hosting.
